The Lansdowne Hotel, Belfast
After designing numerous projects for this Client over the years, The Lansdowne on the Antrim Road was always going to be different. Creating the layout for this bar and restaurant interior was interesting. The floor area was huge and the drinks servery needed to be the central focal point in the room, for both practical and aesthetic reasons. Breaking up the area with raised floor levels and snug seating booths reduced the outer areas into compact, intimate seating capsules. The ceilings and walls are sprinkled with carefully selected contemporary light fittings, all dimmed to create a rich flowing ambience. The rustic nature of the finishes including stone, waxed ship-lapped timbers and panelled and vaulted ceilings all come together to form a mighty space where dining and drinking can become a fabulous experience.
